Hello everyone, I
wanted to thank you all again for donating to the MS Mountain Bike tour this year. I did exceed my goal of $2000, reaching
$2500, mostly with the help of my colleagues, and aslo with pledges from several of my clients. Such strong support motivated
me to persist though the difficult parts of the ride. Even though Hinton received a heavy rainfall the day before the
tour, we had pretty good weather and trail conditions again this year. Saturday was cool and cloudy, with some light rain
in the afternoon. Sunday was sunny but not too hot. I think the only casualty of the weekend was a young lady
on Saturday who fell off her bike while negotiating a sharp turn, and probably broke her wrist. Later that day we were
faced with a steep downhill single track trail in the woods. Being tired and beer deficient, and thinking that I might
be needed at work on Monday, I swallowed my pride, dismounted and walked down. I ride on a team consisting of family
members and wannabes. Our team name is Princess Patricia's Psychle Paths, in honour of
my sister-in-law Pat, who has lived with MS for almost 30 years now. Each of our 9 team members raised at least $1000 this
year, a first for us. This event continues to raise more money each year than the year before, to help in the search
for a cure for MS. The MS Society generally sends out tax receipts in November to those who supported us. I hope that everyone is doing
well, and taking time for yourselves and your families. All the very best, and thanks again.
