Dr. Ken Keeler

Meet Dr. Keeler....

Dr. Ken Keeler was raised on a farm near Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario.
He received his Bachelor of Science from McMaster University in Hamilton , then his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph in 1975.
His primary interests are canine, feline and avian medicine as well as "pocket pets" such as rabbits, hamsters and Guinea pigs.

Dr. Keeler is a member of the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association, Alberta Veterinary Medical Association, Canadian Academy of Veterinary Dermatology, the Association of Avian Veterinarians and was one of the original members of the Edmonton Pet Parrot Club. He has served on the executives of both the Edmonton Association of Small Animal Veterinarians and the Edmonton Veterinarians’ Emergency Clinic.
When not devoting his time to veterinary medicine or gardening, Dr. Keeler is usually donating his time to various charities and the church.

He has helped raise money for the MS Society by collecting pledges and riding in the annual MS bike tours since 1995. In 2006 he was the 5th top fundraiser for the MS mountain bike ride. Daily riding to work (summer and winter) have kept him conditioned for the grueling 2 day event. He is also a dedicated blood donor and so far has donated over 150 units of whole blood and platelets.
Dr. Keeler and his wife Maureen have 3 daughters, Stacey 27, Janel 24 and Margaret 21. They share their home with 2 cats, Figaro and Buddy.
