Dr.
Jeffrey Person joined our practice in 2003 to pursue his true passion, small animal surgery. He has
since been named "Young Veterinarian of the Year" in 2006 and co-hosts the 630CHED radio show PET TALK on Sunday
mornings. He is a native of Calahoo, Alberta
and is a 2002 graduate of the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. He
is an accomplished classical guitarist having performed for His Royal Highness, The Prince Edward. Dr. Person is also
an avid outdoorsman and worked several summers as a wrangler and guide on horse packing trips into the remote mountain wilderness. In his leisure
time he can be found on a horse, in a canoe or on skis. He is past president of the Edmonton Association of Small
Animal Veterinarians and continues to serve on its board of directors. He is also
a member of the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association, a
member of, as well as community representative and
complaints investigator for the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association, a member of the Alberta Falconry Association, the Alberta Fish and Game Association, and
the Edmonton Classical Guitar Society. He and Cathryn,
welcomed their second child, a girl
named Jillian Mariann in November
2006. Jeffrey, Cathryn, Michael, Jillian, their two cats, Sam and Pudd, and labrador
retriever, Trick, reside in Morinville.
