Lisa BSc, Registered Veterinary Technologist, Lead Technologist
Lisa was born and raised in Fort McMurray. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Saskatchewan in 2007, and then her Animal Health Technology diploma at NAIT in 2009. Lisa joined our pet health care team in May 2009, after completing her student practicum at Delton.
Lisa and her husband, Wes, enjoy biking and running, and they play soccer year-round. Her son, Karlen, was born in March 2014, and already shows an interest in soccer and music. They have one dog and 2 cats. Parker is an energetic 9-year-old Border Collie mix who loves running at the off-leash park.
Both cats are now seniors, and they enjoy a safe indoor lifestyle. Punky had her right front leg amputated due to an injury when she was young, but she refuses to let her missing leg slow her down. Princess is a very happy cat, and her favourite thing to do is to lay on the lap of any human that sits still long enough to let her get comfortable.
Lisa’s main interests as a technologist are being involved in ongoing patient care, such as with chronic disease management, and senior pets.
