Video Consultation

Delton Vet is happy to announce we are now offering Telemedicine Video Consultations. To book a consultation appointment with your veterinarian, please call or text 780.475.9225.
PLEASE NOTE: Dependant on the condition of your pet’s health, your veterinarian may require you to physically drop off your pet for a hands-on evaluation/ treatment.

Ensure you have a quiet, distraction-free space for your video consultation. It’s important your pet is with you and contained, so we do not spend your consultation time chasing your pet to speak to your veterinarian!

For Desktop / Laptops:

The consultation will go through your internet browser. Please ensure you have a working webcam and, ideally, speakers. If you do not have speakers, please have a telephone available so your veterinarian can connect with you via phone during the video chat.

  1. At the start time of your consultation, have your email inbox open. A link will be emailed to you to begin your consultation.
  2. Follow the link and click “Join Now” to begin your Telemedicine Consultation!

Tips:

  • You can turn on closed captions near the bottom of the screen if you are having a hard time hearing during your consultation.
  • You and your veterinarian can chat/send links through the chat function during your consultation. This is accessed through the upper right-hand corner of your chat.

For Mobile Devices / Tablets:

  1. Download the Google Hangouts Meet application prior to your Telemedicine Consultation
  2. At the start time of your consultation, have your email inbox open. A link will be emailed to you to begin your consultation.
  3. Follow the link and click “Ask to Join” to begin your Telemedicine Consultation!

Tips:

  • You can turn on closed captions by clicking on the dots in the top right-hand corner if you are having a hard time hearing during your consultation.
  • You can flip the camera to face your pet by clicking on the three dots in the top right-hand corner.

Dear Clients,

With recent changes to restrictions on businesses, below are some important updates to our operating policies.

1. WE CAN NOW SEE ALL CASES BY APPOINTMENT ONLY

This includes vaccines, wellness exams, blood work, heartworm testing, spays and neuters, dental services, and more!

2. SAFETY MEASURES TO KEEP EVERYONE SAFE

  • Continue our "closed waiting room" policy to protect our clients and staff. When you arrive, please remain outside the hospital and use your cell phone to call us. We will take a history of your pet's health and discuss any concerns. A staff member will then meet you outside to bring your pet into the hospital for an examination. The Veterinarian will call you to discuss the recommended treatment plan. After your appointment, a staff member will return your pet to you outside, and take care of any needed medications and payment.
  • Continue the use of credit cards as the preferred payment method.
  • Continue with curbside pickup of food and medication (unless you have used our online store and are having your order delivered directly to your home). To place an order through our online store, visit our website and click on "Online Store".
  • 3. ONLINE CONSULTATIONS ARE AVAILABLE

If you wish to connect with a veterinarian via message, phone or video, visit our website and follow the "Online Consultation" link.

    4. OPERATING HOURS

  • Monday to Saturday: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
  • Sundays: CLOSED
  • Note: We are closed daily for lunch between 1:00 - 2:00 pm.

Thank you for your patience and understanding and we look forward to seeing you and your furry family members again!

    - Your dedicated team at Delton Veterinary Hospital
